Disney is releasing a movie this fall about a teenager navigating life with cerebral palsy. Based on the NY Times best seller Out of My Mind, the movie stars teenager Phoebe-Rae Taylor, who has cerebral palsy herself, Jennifer Aniston who portrays the lead’s inner voice, and Judith Light.

The story centers on the experience of a sixth grader with cerebral palsy who is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair. She rises to the challenges of middle school and finds her voice, while those around her learns how to listen.

The cast also includes actors with a variety of disabilities and production was supported by a team of disability consultants who worked to ensure the accessibility on set and authentic representation on screen. Do watch and share, its a great way to raise awareness on cerebral palsy!

The film premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, and will be available on Disney+ from November 22nd, 2024.
