Sex Ed for People with Disabilities is Almost Non-existent. Here's Why That Needs to Change
School-based sex education is one of the few sources of reliable sexual health information for young people. With only five states mandating inclusive sex education for people with disabilities, many receive little or no formal education on the topic. This has resulted in lingering misconceptions and attitudes toward the sexuality of people with disabilities that still affect their access to appropriate services and social inclusion.
